PHILOSOPHY

Just by observing nature, we can already find many answers to questions we ask ourselves.

One of the great bioconstructors that inspires this project is the swallow. To create its nest it makes more than 1000 flights, ensuring the good execution of its future house: that it is durable, stable and protected against external factors. The materials that the swallow uses are also present in our projects: mud, straw, plant fibers, etc. All of them are natural elements with wonderful flexibility, hardness and breathability that allow us to create healthy, safe and respectful spaces with the natural environment.

OUR INSPIRATION

Vernacular architecture, adapted to new contemporary trends and innovation, is our source of inspiration. A combination of construction techniques designed to offer the greatest climatic comfort, with maximum energy efficiency and in complete harmony depending on the place and its environment.

We are convinced that sustainable construction is the construction of the future.

Biography

My name is Lenka Juchova. I am a bioconstructor and founder of Golondrina Arquitectura. Originally from Slovakia, the “heart of Europe”, a beautiful country full of rivers and forests. Currently my base is in Murcia but I work throughout the Levantine area and also nationally.

After having worked at the Fuente Columbares Environmental Center, in 2018 I started the Master in Bioconstruction Management at the Okambuva cooperative. I had the opportunity to meet great teachers who taught me much of what I know today. I have gone through all phases of project management: from study work to execution. I know what it is like to be with your hands and feet on the job, understanding the trades, jobs and real needs of the clients.

With this project, I also intend to serve as a cooworking platform where different professionals can come together and work in a coordinated and sustainable manner on joint proposals. Each work is different and has different needs and challenges on multiple levels. For my part, I always look for solid alliances with people from different fields and trades capable of offering solutions based on their experience and professionalism.

Understanding that it is inevitable that human beings continue building and do so at great speed, from Golondrina Arquitectura, I want to contribute and bet on sustainable construction, conscious and respectful of the natural environment.
